The Long Short of It
Hey! I'm Gabby by the way : ) My interest with the camera isn't much different than most. I was that kid with the wind up cameras and eventually graduated to digital cameras. My beautiful Grandma Nancy calls me "the family historian."
When I had children I knew one day I'd eventually forget how their voice sounded or how much their little faces would change. I caught myself trying to capture everything I could.
It wasn't long after that, my husband gifted me my first cannon camera. Which I still use today, and since then have upgraded the lens, and yes you guessed it, I'm still learning how to use it.
In 2024, some of my closest my friends finally got married and I brought my camera (it's kinda big and looks pretty official) so the people that didn't know me actually thought I was hired as the photographer.
That's when the thought occurred, could I actually pursue this?
To my surprise, my friend loved the photos I took, and encouraged I do something with photography. This conversation took place at a time when I truly did not know what I was going to do with my life... that may sound a little dramatic, but the anxiety of it was very real to me at the time.
I have no control over what technology will evolve, or how it will affect me. Nevertheless, I'm still excited about being behind the lens! As my experience grows along with my equipment, and skillset, I hope to never stop improving & help document those precious moments and work with some incredible people along the way, because that's what makes the work fun.

My style of photography is definitely more candid. If you're someone that wants to change everything about you in a photo, I can almost guarantee I am not the person to hire.
A photo should capture who that person is at that time in their life. It's not about the good or the bad, it's about sharing their truth or not.
In a world full of fake, can we keep something real, authentic, and pure? Because that's all I want to do.
I enjoy photographing in places where you feel most at home. That might be around the trees, ocean, a park, your parent's backyard, or your living room. Everyone has that place, where is that place for you? I'll meet you there!
